Tim Harrison:
charlatan, hyperbolic liar and extremely vial person.
a/k/a "The Conservation Game", "Outreach For Animals" , "HumanAnimalAdvocate.com", "White Magic"
Tim Harrison (Outreach For Animals, OH), who is a self proclaimed "wildlife and exotic animal professional" is an individual that the zoo and animal industry has known about for some time now. His rants, comments, actions and statements, many of them false (including the claim he is a Homeland Security Instructor) has identified him as a person with a questionable, and possibly a dangerous past.
Harrison's background reveals that he is nothing more than a charlatan, hyperbolic liar and extremely vial person. This site is a collection of just some of the core issues found about Harrison.
Warning signs:
______________________________
"I find very questionable as to his, (Harrison) emotional stability and very frankly have a grave concern that we (Oakwood Public Safety Dept.) may have to send Tim Harrison for some psychiatric counseling or testing as I feel that he is showing some signs of going off the deep end and may be emotionally unfit for duty" - Capt. Edwards to Chief Kelly, Oakwood Public Safety Dept.
Through new legally obtained records from current and past employers there is no doubt that Tim is a very experienced liar with a very well tuned ability to be intimidating to the point of "killing" someone, (see documents, his words). We are now able to confirm what many have always suspected.
The information that has, and is still being gathered on Tim is massive to say the least. We will be updating this site with new confirmed information and documentation just as fast as it can be processed. We have over 1,000 pages that are still being reviewed.
Tim Harrison is NOT with the Department of Homeland Security or one of their employees or paid instructors.
There is a BIG difference in being an "Adjunct Instructor" for a university who is providing a class under a federal government grant, and being an actual "Homeland Security Instructor". The grant program that Tim Harrison is associated with (OGT Training Grant 144103) is funded by Texas A&M, National Domestic Preparedness Commission, Dept of Homeland Security, and FEMA. These departments are ONLY providing the grant revenue for the university. Tim knows this but attempts to wrongfully exploit and confuse the public in thinking he is actually associated with Homeland Security, he is NOT! Since we have called him out on this, Texas A&M has made him stop his “Homeland Security" claims.
Tim Harrison speaks out about private ownership of exotic animals, but fails to disclose:
He himself has been a private owner of big cats, wolves, and others and even the owner of "Harrison Kennels". These following documents reveal that Tim Harrison even had many problems with his neighbor's while he was a private owner, and the problems manifested to the point of causing the death and injury to some of his animals. Documents also reveal that he personally notified his Chief of Police that he was the "owner" of "Harrison Kennels".
"I am an intimidating person and I could have killed him (his neighbor) and I can, and do intimidate people when I talk with them." - Tim Harrison to Capt. Edwards about his neighbor that filed a complaint on him.
"With this background, I would your office to take those necessary steps to have Tim evaluated to see if he is emotionally fit for duty with the Oakwood Public Safety Department."- Capt. Edwards to Chief Kelly.
Tim Harrison has a massive history of being disciplined by his department for such behavior as:
- Fictitious Illness/Injury Reports
- Conduct Unbecoming - Police Officer
- Courtesy Violations
- Reporting for Duty
- Abuse of Sick Leave
- Fictitious Activity Reports
- Accidental Firearms Discharge (with injury)
- Failing Advance Life Support Certification
- Repeated Failure to Provide Truthful Activity Reports, (which was also interesting that he was disciplined in the close time frame for conducting his personal business while on duty)
- Chasing down citizens and stopping with an ambulance.
NOTE: All files below will have multiple pages, (in some cases over a dozen).
HARRISON named in animal keepers death report and fine by OR-OSHA authorities:
In 2014, OR-OSHA fined the Oregon based Wild Cat Haven sanctuary for numerous violations which lead to a big cat attack and death of an animal keeper on the property. OR-OSHA clearly linked and identified Tim Harrison as one of the facility "advisors", (see the investigation report).
From a young age Tim has specialized in mediocrity. As far back as college he did just enough to get by, and just about failed out, (note transcript marked for probation, which is what happens when you are about to fall below the minimum 2.0 to graduate.) With his "teaching academy" lacking in participants it is apparent he is finding it necessary to sell himself to the "animal activists" in order to satisfy his craving for attention, and pay his bills"
As you can see by Tim's records, not telling the truth is very easy for him.
"That over 60% of the SWAT officers from (Muskingum County Sheriffs Office) that were involved in the shooting of wild animals from the Zanesville, OH incident have Post Traumatic Syndrome, and cannot return to work. (his words!) And one officer "pee's in his pants if he sees a squirrel come down a tree too fast" (really, he actually says this!)
We could not believe this either! After contacting our sources, Sheriffs officers had no knowledge of this at all! We found that others were just as concerned of lies. They actually talked with Sheriff Lutz (Muskingum County Sheriff), and sent him a copy of Tim’s transcript and video taped testimony. The Sheriff was not happy, and confirmed that ALL of Tim's statements related to Zanesville were completely false.
Harrison claimed: "I was part of the Zanesville Massacre, which happened in Zanesville, Ohio"
FALSE
Sheriff Lutz: "Harrison had nothing to do with this incident, period. "Mr. Harrison came to the scene, and somehow he got connected with me outside, and I did not know him from "Adam". I didn't know who he was, had no resources to confirm or deny anything, and had no way of telling who he was, what he was. And we went about our business, and he tried to offer his assistance. I said, "Look, I don't know you. Sorry, but I'm not going to bring somebody in that I don't know in this situation." And so for him to put in that he was in the command center ... My captain and I read through that little bit, and he had nothing to do with that case. [sic] he had nothing to do with that case in the command center and nothing to do with us at all. So I want to make sure you knew that.
Harrison claimed: "The county went bankrupt because of the media and everything came in."
FALSE
Sheriff Lutz: "Our county never went bankrupt. We never had ... We were very fortunate that this thing only took as long as it did, and obviously we had some extra overtime costs, but you have that with any kind of big case. [sic] But, no, we never had any kind of monetary problems at all, so I wanted to make sure that you knew that one. “
Harrison claimed: "Guess what happened? They had to keep cops out there f(Zanesville) for the next two or three years because people were trying to dig up the bodies."
FALSE
Sheriff Lutz confirmed they only had a couple of days of extra overtime cost and no reports of anyone trying to "dig up bodies".
Harrison claimed: "We talked about "zoonomics" all day. The guy who filmed the documentary with me almost died from ... A bacterial infection he got from African lions. You can see it on the extras. It's sad. His skin started sloughing off. These are things that the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio had no idea how to take care."
"Zoonomics" ? Harrison must have been thinking of "zoonosis". "The guy who filmed the documentary with me almost died"? So much for being a wild animal expert not keeping your camera man safe while your handling a large cat, and not knowing what "zoonosis" is. (See the video)
Harrison claimed: " I want to be able to tell you also too, real fast, cause these officers want me to tell you this. The ones that had to shoot those big cats and the bears and the chimps and everything at the Zanesville Massacre, four out of six of the officers that were on the SWAT team have post-traumatic syndrome. Cannot go back to work."
FALSE
Sheriff Lutz confirms this is absolutely not true.
Harrison claimed: "One (officer) actually pees his pants when he's walking through the woods if a squirrel comes down a tree too fast."
FALSE
Sheriff Lutz confirmed that he has heard of no such thing.
A quick word on the so-called "Big Cat Crises":
When we look at these so-called "stats" involving big cat incidents it is very noticeable that since the passage of the new laws several years back, the incidents have all but stopped. So to keep the "crisis" narrative alive these groups have to look back over 30 years ago. But even including those incidents, (back when literally no laws existed) their numbers still fail.
- No uninvolved member of the public has been seriously injured by an escaped exotic cat in the last decade.
- No uninvolved person has been killed by an escaped exotic cat in the last 25 years, and this time span probably extends much further.
- Today, all but three states have regulations that have contributed to the decline of such incidents.
